Chris CarminucciHead of Baseball Operations/Ventura Sports Chris Carminucci led the Blacksnakes in their 2006 inaugural season. In 2005, he managed the Grays, the Can-Am League’s road team. He also is an associate scout for the San Diego Padres. Carminucci was a four-year starter at LaGrange College in Georgia, where he played third base and led the team in hitting in both his junior and senior years. In 1995, he was named team MVP and GIAC Player of the Year. Following graduation, Carminucci was a player/coach for the Tennessee Walkers of the Big South League.
After his playing career ended, Carminucci was hired as an associate scout for the Kansas City Royals from 1999-2002. In 1999, he also founded the Pro Performance Baseball and Softball Academy. In 2003, Carminucci was an assistant coach for the Brewster (Mass.) Whitecaps of the prestigious Cape Cod League and was named assistant baseball coach by St. John's University in September 2003. In 2004, Carminucci joined the Northeast League’s Bangor Lumberjacks as a coach.
Carminucci and his wife, Lauren, have two young daughters, Emma and Kate.
